Our History
Dry Creek Station Becomes a Restaurant
Dry Creek Station used to be a little tiny hole-in-the-wall bar that Jeff Miller used to stop in at once in a while on the way home from his job as Sr. Vice President of Centex homes Construction. He was a visionary and thought it would be great if he owned it, and who knows, maybe down the road he could develop it into the best steakhouse in Redding or Bella Vista or Palo Cedro for that matter. Jeff went ahead and purchased the little bar in 1992 and started the Dry Creek Station Restaurant and Bar.
From the time Jeff started serving his signature steaks, seafood and pasta, Dry Creek Station was an instant hit. It became a local favorite restaurant and notably the best steakhouse, with patrons coming from all over the north state to eat at Dry Creek. The restaurant was rustic and was like the last of the old road houses. When an electrical fire destroyed the restaurant on August 25, 2010, the outpouring of sympathy from the community was unbelievable. People who frequented Dry Creek Station were in shock. They couldn’t imagine their favorite restaurant gone. Jeff knew what had to be done… rebuild Dry Creek Station!
Welcoming Our Customers Back!
Jeff & Juliene rebuilt their bar and restaurant with a new look, opening on April 20, 2011. It has a family style bar alongside the restaurant, which together seats approx. 215 guests. There is a separated area for reserved private dining, special occasions, and parties or for banquets. There’s a back patio which is the perfect place to relax and enjoy dinner on a cool summer evening.
Jeff Miller’s Dry Creek Station Restaurant is a full service steakhouse that provides the greatest value and service to his customers. His motto from day one has been and still is – ‘Where Quality and Value Meet’.
Over the years there have been other steakhouses that have tried to copy his formula for success, even to the point of copying his motto. But that hasn’t affected Dry Creek Station. As people have routinely said “you can’t bring Dry Creek Restaurant to Redding, but you can bring Redding to Dry Creek Station!’. And their restaurant proves this with happy customers who enjoy the marvelous steaks, Certified Black Angus beef hamburgers, seafood, pasta and specials they offer.
Supporting Our Community
Dry Creek Station believes in supporting the local community, and each year they have a Chili Cook-Off to support the Bella Vista Fire Department. Bella Vista Fire Department was there to fight the fire of 2010 and give help and encouragement to those who were traumatized by the event. When Jeff & Julienne were helping raise money for a boy with cancer, the Bella Vista Fire Department came to the rescue again and helped them serve 100’s of people. In just 4 hours they raised $10,000 in donations to help that little boy. Their various fundraisers have been appreciated and supported by the generous local community. This year they plan to have a hot dog eating contest!
